Well, I just installed my new Slipstreamer SS-30-17CT on my '07 and it looks great! I kept my fingers crossed and hoped the buffeting gremlin would be kept at bay, no such luck. At about 40mph I began to notice some head bobble, then at 55mph an increased bobble, followed by something akin to watching a flickering horror film, at 65mph. NOTE: I had the screen adjusted as close to the speedo as I could. I then readjusted it away from the speedo and the buffeting was reduced, slightly. Either way, I guess I've got to get some lowers and keep my fingers crosses, again.

Try mounting it as close to vertical as you can--maybe just a slight slope backward. It might take a few tries to find the sweet-spot and you may still have a little buffeting.
Heck--it's an excuse to go riding!

Thanks for the advice. If I get it as close to vertical as I can the buffeting is greatly reduced, but aesthetically, I don't like it that vertical.
Hmmm, what to do?

How much room between the head lamp and shield do you have? You need at least 1/2 an inch for air to run up behind the shield. This greatly reduces air problems.
I have the falcon shield and love it. Another thing, are you looking through it or over it? I have a Falcon Slipstreamer. I cut off the lowers and I had to trim 3 inches off mine. Sitting in the saddle normal riding position, the shield is just below my Peripheral vision.

I had insane buffeting with the Triumph roadster screen and the Slipstreamer Tombstone, regardless how I adjusted them. Virtually nothing with the Windvest.

+1 on the Windvest. Pricey but worth it.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Got mine off ebay and got a second bracket from a member here. They have replacement shields on ebay for around $50. The first bracket has bubbling chrome so I'm going to strip it and powdercoat it.

I've got about an 1.5"-2" between the headlamp and the screen and I look through the top edge of it. I discovered something very useful today on a 65 mile burn down the slab...If I squeeze the tank with my knees...the buffeting is virtually eliminated! I guess lowers will really make a difference. Here I thought it was the air coming over the top of the screen (Sit higher, more buffeting. Sit lower, less.) ; I guess I should trust the forum. For the first time ever, on any bike, I was able to look around, take in the scenery, and not ache while doing 70mph-(cough, greater than 70mph) on the slab. This has been a great investment and I can't wait to see what the lowers do.

I run with shield + lowers... homemade lowers that reach from the fork seals to the bottom of the shield. I got 'er dialed in pretty nice with that set up. I started off with the Triumph Roaster and like John, the buffeting was INSANE!
But yer right... leg position does affect things. When I put my feet in the highway pegs things change behind the shield.
Live to love, love to live.

Yep, full helmet. (And its nice not having the shield pop open when I check a lane @70mph, now that I have the screen.) + for safety.
I've got an email into Eddy requesting his recommendation prior to pulling the trigger on the "upper" or "lower" mounted lowers. I'm thinking "upper" will close any gap between the screen and the lowers.

I ride with a full face helmet and a Dart fly screen. Recently I installled the lowers from Eddy (lower version) and I have noticed riding at highway speed is a lot more pleasant and tolerable. I still get a little buffeting, since all I have is the flyscreen. I really like the look of the Dart flyscreen. But it's not bothersome, although I never had a shield "pop open" on me before. Of course, having said that I know it will happen the next time I take her out!
