My recent mods are as follows.... Did the R/R mod. Fat wire direct to bat w/fuse Rejetted. Bike was running pretty good but popping on decel
Sunday I disconnected TPS. Popping is GONE. Still runs great Mon, Tue, Wed. This morning I accelerate from a stop light....dies. Reastarted, went to pull out onto road...dies again. Third restart was a charm. Rode the next half hour to my work with no further issues. I am thinkin the start of a coil problem. I don't think a disconnected TPS would cause that would it?

Your trouble lies with something other than the TPS. Mine's been disconnected for a couple o' years with no problems. In your case I'm suspicious of the CDI. A coil will usually not kill the engine but rather make it run poorly due to only one cylinder being affected.

So I just rewired the r/r. Could it be that connection?

Can't hurt to check the R/R mod but doesn't sound like the problem to me since your battery hasn't gone dead.

You did hook that new wire from the r/r to the POSITIVE side of the battery, right?

Yes I did. On my way home the bike almost died a gain twice. When I got home I grabbed my meter, pulled off the battery caver and guess what....the nedgative battery cable was almost completely off. Veryy loose. I tightened it. Hope that does it. I would love for it to be that simple. We will see.
