Another, beautiful, truly inspiring Cardinal Red! It's a colour that really goes well with chrome and all things shiny!

Can't beat the color. Nice looking and congratulations!
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

LOL! That's how I got it home. It stayed in the back of my truck for several days because I was too busy to take it out.

Yes it is. TOO busy. I have rode it, like, only four times since I bought it... Not to worry tho, plannin' some excursions this summer.

So I've had this bike for about a year and a half now. Thought I'd share a couple more pics. This is a shot taken this summer in Washington, AR in front of the big magnolia tree. This shot was taken today (Sunday). As you can see, I went solo. I actually started taking stuff off the bike thinking I was going to have to sell it (back problems). But I decided to go back to the stock seat and add mid-pegs in hopes this would relieve pressure on my lower back and tailbone. So far so good. But I have yet to try it on a long ride. So I guess we'll see come next riding season. In the mean time, I'm planning some mods. I've already done a couple - like wires hidden in handlebars, rear turn signal stems shortened, and of course my mid-pegs. Planning a seat mod later and working on a "ghetto freak" mod now.

Try a protac backrest from Fast Eddy. Does wonders for the lower back

@kent1969. I was thinking about getting a backrest when I was using the Corbin seat (has a built-in place for a backrest). Unfortunately that would have done nothing for my tailbone - which was the biggest culprit on the Corbin. Hopefully the taller, flatter surface of the stock seat (along w/ my mid-pegs) will fix that problem. If my lower back still gives me problems I might have to get a backrest - tho I will likely build my own as I am not a fan of the looks of the protac.

FWIW, I have a corbin seat, and also noticed that my tailbone was starting to get unhappy.....I got the backrest for it (from corbin) and while I can't say it has totally alleviated that issue, it has definitely solved it at least 85 percent or so. I think having my weight distributed differently (much more against the backrest, rather than straight down) really makes a huge difference on my tailbone.
...you're gonna feel a little pressure....

@Hairdoo. Thanks for the input on the Corbin backrest. I've never actually rode with a drivers backrest so I don't really know how well it would work for me. Might be worth a try. I do like the looks of the Corbin.

Thanks. It's nothing fancy but I like it. I'm seriously thinking about a new paint job - something a little less red.

Modifications and accessories to date: Air injection removed (before I bought it) Snorkels removed and air box drilled Rear peg hangers removed Rear pegs relocated to serve as mid-pegs for driver Speedometer and mirrors lowered Reflectors removed Rear signal stems shortened Wires hidden in handlebars Vista Cruise installed (7/8" modified) Throttle Rocker installed K&N filter installed (carbs jetted/adjusted) Tank knee pads installed T-100 sprocket cover installed Tall sissy bar (shortened by previous owner) Projected mods and accessories: Drill the stock mufflers Install driving lights and possibly smaller signals Modify stock seat LED brake light Possibly some head and brake light modulators Various parts to be powder coated black And I'm kinda thinking of painting the sheet metal black with blue crescent on the tank (about the color of my truck). Oh and before anything else I need to install new brakes front and back... But I guess that's more maintenance than modification.

for your brakes i reccomend foing with the EBC floating system, works great and does away with any issues about warping etc.

Since they need replacing anyway, might as well upgrade while I'm at it, right? Actually the front rotor isn't bad. I might get by with just pads. But the back is a different story. Pads are completely gone and rotor is ruined.

Are you replacing the front rotor too? Just asking because the wheel is off is all.
Back when the Bike bandit was having a sale they sold me two rear rotors, for $106.00 each. EBC MD634. Ouch. Recently bought (from G M CYCLES-on fleabay) a front EBC rotor MD649 for $151.66 (non floating).
FWIW Use a manual impact driver to break the rotors bolts and dab some blue locktight on those bolts after the threads are cleaned. Clean with analilty the hub surface that the rotor bolts to too.
Damn, that is one CLEAN bike! She's a beaut!

Actually, upon closer inspection, I decided to try having it turned. I took it to a local machine shop and they said they could do it. I think the rear disc is too far gone for that.
Thanks for the info and suggestions. I managed to remove the bolts using my cordless impact driver. (If you look closely at the pic you can see it sitting on the table in the background.) It worked really well. Didn't damage any bolts.
And thanks for the compliment too. I try to keep her looking clean.

20%? Wow! I've heard that black is the fastest color. But I have a question. If I paint only half of my bike black, will that make it halfast?
