PinWall on EBay has part prices that are hard to beat, and don't be shy, list your needs in the classifieds here. I just finished fixing my '07 Spdy from mowing down a deer last Aug 1st, BikeBandit prices listed out to close to 5 Grand+, but with saved searches, deal hunting, patience and perseverance, I finished up yesterday for roughly $1500. Even found a set of nice StainTunes for $210 delivered to replace the set, that one side of was trashed. My travel out bike is finally rolling again. Now if I could find a deal to replace my $675 Triumph jacket, the paras insisted on scissoring off of me, I think I could find total closure.

Thanks everyone. I have already started ordering replacement parts and some better then new parts. The new look is going to have flames...

So far I got the front end off and repaired the stop, it bent during the impact and allowed the forks to turn so they hit the tank. Also, after this pic I took out the airbox and getting ready to do the battery relocation. Got a pair of Uni's on order and new jets, etc.

[image]http://s1023.photobucket.com/user/lrcarreiro/media/1374332906.jpg.html[/image]

The living room is starting to look like a motorcycle parts warehouse. Thankfully my wife has been very understanding so far.

My insurance company (Progressive) has been outstanding with quickly settling and getting me payments fast. They had no problem with me doing my own work and even included my labor into the repairs. They even payed for my helmet and boots that were damaged in the wreck.

I have been doing a bit of shopping around. EBay, and several other places. I found a place called 2WheelPros that had OEM at better prices then Bike Bandit.

I understand about the EMTs cutting your jacket off. I wasn't wearing a jacket, just jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Those got cut off. Too bad insurance didn't cover your jacket. Mine did for my helmet and boots... I think she said they would have covered my leathers, if I was wearing them.

It's been close to a month since the accident and I have been working on her every weekend. Finally got close enough where I can share pictures. Kind of went a mild custom approach. After I found the Triumph tank/fender set in flames it kind of took over.

Thanks. My kids all think I went too far with the flames. Possibly a result of the dain bramage from the accident. I think it looks great. The Phoenix rising from the ashes. I got the bags in today and should have new jets etc. since I removed the air box and but UNI pods on her. I can't wait to ride her again!

Not sure how I missed this one. First off I'm really glad the wreck wasn't that bad, secondly, DANG! she's looking better than before, (maybe a wee bit to much flames, for me personally) but I LOVE the color combo and the lights up front. Looking good!

Thanks. I loved that graphite color on the 06 America. I found that NOS tank and fender with factory painted flames on EBay. I took off my read fender and had it painted to match (no flames). Then I kind of got caught up in the flame theme. It might be a bit much, I'm giving some thought to going to normal clutch/brake levers. The lights are Ardure buckets on a Triumph light bar.

I think you are right. I think those are going to need the flames.

I thought about some bags with flames but didn't find any I liked. I like hard bags and after the last pair (Mutazu) I knew I wanted them to be waterproof. And had to be able fit my half helmet. These Viking bags fit bill and were a good price.

Nice bags, now all ya need is to lose the passenger peg hangers.

You can use the lower hole for the pipe hanger and for that frame tab just get a cool 1.5" to 2" or so medallion and attach it, that's what I did on the Speedy, looks cool. Finishers just seem to excacerbate a defunct space.

Hmmm. Good idea. I was going to use a finisher but the one I wanted was discontinued. I took the peg off and was just going to find a way to cover the holes. I'll have to get an idea for a medallion that would work.
