stone chips on forks

hi guys have i got to learn to luv the stone chips along my forks or is there anyway of getting rid of them

Well, you can polish them out but it will remove the brushed look. I would chalk it up to riding rather than garage decorating.

If they are not too bad hit them with the Dremel but if you go too far you will have to do the whole thing.

Well, seein' as how those babies(I'm assumin' we're talkin' the sliders here) are powder-coated silver, then I'd say just touch 'em up with a little silver touch-up paint.

Biddsy, Are your lower sliders power coated or the newer lacquered variety.
If lacquered, they can be polished, comes up real nice, although I reckon it'll be a lot of work to keep them looking good.
Other option is to get them powder coated.

i was talking about the lower forks but as locopony said i should just chalk it up to riding thanks anyway guys for your replies.i think if i could afford powder coating the wife would suggest my face got it before the forks

Still though... I could see sanding out those rock chips and hitting the forks with a rattle can. Cheap and effective!
