I'm too fat and old to really ride something like this but I absolutely love the paint homage to the original Speed Twin and the beautiful form.

Not my style but I love the look, love the paint and polished aluminum and the drum brakes. I would love a set of those wheels for my scoot. The front is 4 leading shoe!

Ooooh yeah!!! That IS a work-of-art there, Ed! Can't find a thing I'd change about it! (...yep, I gotta admit I'm "a little" infatuated with that beauty, myself!)

That needs to go on the homepage. Haven't had a Hinkley custom post in a while. Soren probably already did it.

The front brake is a modern take on the old Triumph twin leading shoe brake, the new version has 4 leading shoes. That thing probably stops on a dime. From what I gathered on the web page they are going to put that into production.

I'll bet it does stop pretty well Ian, but even the best drum brakes will fade more quickly than will discs, of course.
And actually, that's a Grimeca re-pop, and so it's more a modern take on what were on Italian sport and racing motorcycles before most M/C manufacturers switched to discs, and so, not so much as were on any Brit Bikes back then.

Sure reminds me of the brake on my 72 Daytona and a few others I have.

Well, as I recall, Norton offered a TLS brake with an air-cooling inlet very similar to that Grimeca on some of their Atlas, Dominator and early Commando models.
However, the later '60s Triumph TLS brakes were a different(and I believe an In-house) design all their own.
(...btw, upgrading to either a TLS or a 4LS Grimeca was a very popular thing to do back in the days of when Cafe Racers first became popular in the '60s...they were highly regarded back then, and had the same reputation that Brembo braking systems enjoy today)

BSA and Triumph used the same twin leading shoe brake for a time not sure if Norton used it or not.

Yep. When the BSA Group owned Triumph, there were a lot of components which were shared, alright.
And actually, the original TLS front brakes on the '68-'70 650s(and on the '68-'73 500s) I think were better than the "Conical"(some even call 'em "comical") TLS's brakes which came on the '71 and later OIF 650 BSAs and Triumphs, and until Triumph switched to the Lockheed disc.
