Hey all, have you seen the new Battery Covers from British Customs? They look great but they're only available for years '02 - '08. I have an '09...why would they tease me like this? How does the battery cover differ from '08 to '09? Is anyone else as heartbroken as me?  http://www.british-customs.com/product.php?productid=17792

I'm going to guess that it should fit all the way to 2010 models. The '08s - '10s are all the same. Chances are that they just have not updated their description.

aren't the batteries a little thinner on the efi models?

Yes, EFI batteries are about an inch shorter in depth.
Maybe contact the vendor to verify fitment.

No. I believe it goes over the black battery cover.

I just received word from Sean @ BC. The battery covers will fit all years.

put a stainless lic. plate re-enforcement cut to fit behind it or maybe a painted piece of steel that matches your bike color, maybe a piece of leather, or some purple fur, or what ever else you may fancy. ( Did I go too far with the fur  good thing I didn't mention the dingle balls)
