Back in the 60s when I was growing up in Taunton, Somerset I used to see several blokes riding around on Triumphs (Bonnevilles I think) with full fairings. I've tried unsucessfully to find some old photos of Triumphs with fairings and I was wondering if any body has any or knows where I could look. Cheers

I have a book by John Tipler titled, interestingly enough, "Triumph Motorcycles". Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find it, otherwise I'd scan some photos for you. If you can locate this book at your library, it has several B&W pictures of old Triumphs with fairings. Good luck!

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

The only ones I remember were the T140 ES Special, that had a top fairing if I remeber rightly, but that was in the 70s. I cannot recall any Triumph with a fairing, might they have been Tritons ?

Check the '59 Speed Twin in my photo posts, or, try this
http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/Bike%20Directories/Triumph%20Bikes/pages/Triumph-Speed-Twin-59.htm

Seems the late '50s, early 60's Speed Twin and T-Bird came with some pretty outlandish arse work. Sort of looks like a scooter. Ugly as sin IMO - but quite unique

They might've been riding with Avon fairings. Can't find a pic of one on a bike, but
here's one they still sell.

They also had batwing kind of fairing. I believe these were common on police bikes. Not a full fairing though.

Here's a pic of an pre-unit Avon full fairing that was adapted to fit a new Hinckley Bonneville.

Sadly, the owner was run into by a Harley, and is in the process of tracking another one down.

I'm sure there were other fairings produced for Triumph roadracers.

Bottom photo appears to be the original Police 6T fairing.
