Just thought I would share with members a possible different way of mounting fender racks to the rear fender? Working in heavy industry I see many different types of rigging from day to day and some of its influence must have followed me home. Instead of the usual 6 & 8mm bolts used to hold down the rear fender racks, I went for stainless steel eye bolts which double up as tie-down points when I actually carry anything on my rack. Might not tick everyones box but it works for me. Cheers John Q

I love it. I have straps going in a couple different directions for my bag, I'll be looking into this. It'd clean it up nicely.

Nice. I use a cargo stretch net with the hooks latched onto the top shock mounts and then looped over the turn signal bars. Works very well with that rack.

Thanks for the idea JohnQ. Could you tell me where I can get that rack? Is it the Triumph solo rack? It would be ideal for my needs. Thanks

fasteddysports Low Profile Fender Rack: 482635 http://www.fasteddysports.com/?page_id=3&product_id=845Thought about making my own but when I got this rack from fasteddys, I'm glad I didn't bother. The fabrication quality and chrome is excellent. fasteddys were excellent to deal with and he is a member on this forum. Hope this helps?

Looks great and fuctional. However stainless is bad about siezing up so I hope you used aome anti-sieze.

Thanks for the advice Chad. Yeh I did coat the eye-bolt threads with anti-sieze prior to mounting. Another advantage of the eye bolt over the OEM bolts is I don't need a spanner to remove the seat now but the disadvantage is neither does anyone else if they want to knock it off.
