Hi All
I’ve recently ordered a set of Kuryakyn iso grips and Throttle boss from Fast Eddy. I’m still a novice at motorcycle mechanics and I would like to know if these are easy to fit?
My main concern at the moment is fitting the throttle grip....do I simply cut the old rubber grips off and slide the new grips on? I’ve tried searching the forum for information but i cant seem to find any info that relates to “Fitting handlebar grips for dummies” Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

You can cut the old grips or work a thin blade screwdriver under there, spray some WD40 and work them off that way. Up to you. Just slide the left ISO grip on. On the throtle side you are going to have to shave the ribs off the throtle tube. Use a sharp utility knife or dremel etc. Whatever works. Then the grip should fit over the tube. It will be very snug. Spray some hair spray inside the grips (or at least the left one) before you install them. This will help them slip on and when it dries it will help keep it on. Good luck.

I did mine at the local shop. The mechanic had a long nozzle wd 40 can and sprayed up under the grips and worked them off intact.Easy,I would have done it myself but I wasdown at the shop already when they arrived.I used the glue supplied from kuriyakin to stick 'em on.

Just a bit of advice here if you have not fitted the grips yet, the glue that you get with them is very, very, strong and sets very fast, so make sure you get them where you want them on the bars on the first go because once this glue sets there is no going back cheers.

The only one they tell you to glue is the left grip.
I didn't glue mine and it hasn't moved in 9 months.

I cut the left grip off, then slid the new one on with the glue supplied. The throttle side is easy. You need to dismantle the switch housing, remove the cable ends from the throttle sleeve then off she comes... grip, sleeve and all. Next slide the new Kury grip on, connect the cable ends, reassemble the switch housing and go for a ride.

It's as simple as that.
