05 speedmaster with 3k mi. on craigslist last night. sold in less than three hours. 3700 bucks. I would have bought it just to keep my america company while I'm at work.

Indeed. I'll never get my rather considerable investment out of the bike so no sense in selling it.

My America is my last bike and she will last - so I spend time and money on her with no qualms or second thoughts. Resale is not a factor - except if she is sold as part of my estate - and then I won't care. But it's more likely she'll go with me - especially with the way I ride.

Have almost 97,000 miles, and plan to keep taking her on every address change made.
Just hope they have a dealer close.That in 50 plus years still has parts.
