I scratched my fender, it was painful, but now it's time to touch it up. I want to get a rattle can mixed up, but can't seem to cross the Pacific Blue Color. 2007 America Pacific Blue Dupont BEC 1954. The places I call just can't locates that Dupont code. Can someone shed some light on this for me.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this, but I called the local shop that can mix most anything and first told them the Dupont BEC 1954 number and no luck, then told them 2-500RTC6B..again no luck, the only other number is the ji or jl number (i think its jl). Is this the paint code they would use to look up the mixture for the Pacific Blue? This is referencing your second link, for cyclecolor.

Did some more reasearch. From what I have read, those paint codes are useless here in the US, they cant get the mixing codes from them. Hmmmm. Do I take the front fender off and bring it in for a paint match?

If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.

With all the T bikes here in the US, I find it hard to beleive that the codes can not be acquired, but then of course when you want to control your market, you keep things like that secret. In the end, we all suffer for it. I read another post where I guy tried 6 times to match the pacific blue, not good and a waste of money.

someone over at the ntbf forum gave me this http://www.triumphtwinpower.com/triumphtwinpaintcodes.phpthe paint shop here in sebastopol, ca was able to perfectly match the SAPPHIRE BLUE on my 2003 t100. but i remember i had a link that had the formula on how sandox made the color. i went to http://www.standox.com/portal/ clicked on color formulations and found pacific blue odd thing is that it didnot list truiumoh motorcycles. when i looked for neon blue..my color i was able to find it by the panel number..alot earier.

Motorat,
Thanks for the information. I typed in the Pacific Blue code and viola...the Triumph Motorcycle code came up....but I can't read it. Hahaha. Not sure the language. Can anyone help with this? Plus if you change the paint system it changes the formula, I'm not sure why. I think it is the basecoat system, that's included below. There has to be someone that has solved this riddle.
Quantity Kg L uk gallon uk quart us gallon us quart

I tried Google Translate, and it can translate this to english. It is German. On monday I am going to see if the local color house can do something with this. Thanks for the help. Let's see what happens.

The Dupont paint code, is not a US paint code, so the places I have called can not find it in their systems to look up the formula. So the paint code number, really does little for you in the US. I called around and no one can source the BEC/1954 number. Has anyone had any luck using these numbers? I am going to try and use the Standox formula that was in German, but it doesn't indicate the metallic, so that may be an issue. I can't be the only person with this problem, seems like Triumph would make it just a bit easier.

Well the Standox Formula in German can not be decoded by the paint shop. They don't know the "propritary" mixing toners. Looks like the only way around it it for them to use the camera. This will also work for the metallics. Going to bring the front fender in for color matching.
