It's focusing on the new T-Bird design and assembly (factory) in the UK. There was a brief segment on the history of the brand that was interesting.
Still cool to watch. I'm enjoying it.

If you think about it, it's pretty amazing how the cost of a Triumph is compared to other brands are considering how much is done by hand.

Agreed, I'd guess they are making up most of the difference by operating efficiently and reducing shipping costs by manufacturing so much in house. When I worked for Honda I toured the GL plant in Ohio a couple times, no where near this level of human involvement in the manufacture of those bikes. It looked like a civilized version of robot wars in there.

Watched it last night and thought it pretty well done....except for the following misstatements in it: 1- As the Bonneville model did not debut until 6 years after the release of "The Wild One", Brando did not "ride a Bonneville" in that movie. He rode a Thunderbird. 2- What the heck did the narrator mean when he said during the segment about fitting the radiator on the T-Bird, "Most radiators are air-cooled, but not on the Thunderbird. This one is liquid-cooled."??? 3- The narrator called the Speed Triple, a "Triple Speed". 4- Actually, the "heyday of Triumph", meaning I suppose the decade in which Triumph motorcycle sales worldwide were at their peak, was in the 1960s(1967 to be exact), and not in the 1950s which was stated in this program. (...not that I'm a stickler for accuracy here or anything you understand , but these are examples of how misinformation over time can sometimes become "accepted facts")

Good points Dwight, I really enjoyed the show, but I thought the guy's name who single-handedly has done the pin striping on every bike since 1935 was Niles or Graham or sumpin' like that . And the overt, some would say superfluous, "u" omission throughout the show goes straight away to journalistic veracity. jh

Good points yourself there, ol' boy!

I liked his explanation of the "V" twin sound coming from the 270 degree firing order of Triumphs Parallel twin engine!

The 270° firing order does more than change the sound, it also increases torque.
There were several mistakes made in that show. They should have had someone from Triumph poof read the script (or maybe the Triple Speed is a new model and Marlon Brando has a pre-edition of the Bonnie 7 years before release).

Yeah, the whole '270 degrees make it sound like a v-twin' was asinine. I was impressed by the hand painted tanks. I had no idea.

Thanks for the link I'll download at the regular rate and watch it later tonight. 3hr 21 min. to go. Now 4hr. 11min. Guess I can get a workout and a haircut. At Premium price I may as well pay for the upgrade on cable so I can watch SPEED which was taken away two years ago.

trying it now to see what happens.
does your internet service provider limit downloads or throttle bandwidth etc?
edit: took about 1 hr but it dl'd fine.
maybe try it again and see if it works.

Worked this time Kind of makes you proud to ride Triumph seeing how many people not machines had their hands on each bike.

We really enjoyed it. The factory was very interesting...I enjoy learning about how our Triumphs are made. I too wonder how they keep the price down compared to other bikes, but I'm not complaining just means in a few years we can buy another Triumph to add to the garage.

Each tank is initialed by the painter. The quality is fantastic. I feel badly each time I repaint one.
