Have just spent £550 on chrome accessories including a light bar kit and engine dresser bar kit:D should be nice and easy to fit NOT, didn't realise I would have to dismantle half the bike to fit these things, not having ever worked on a motorbike before all seems a bit over the top just for a pair of lights and a dresser bar

Fitting the stuff is half the fun. Get yourself some good tools and be brave - it's not that hard - you'll love it (and hate it sometimes when things go wrong) but you WILL become addicted.

Many of the members in this forum previously had little or no experience in doing mods, regular maintenance and fitting accessories - and likewise, many of the members are very experienced (been working on bikes their whole lives) and then some are professional mechanics etc. We all help each other - there's no dumb questions and plenty of advice (and opinions) to be had - and the occasional Aussie who may have an unhelpful joke at your expense.
Of course, if you're chicken, you could pay your dealer as much again to fit them for you.

I don't have a problem doing it, was just surprised at how complicated they've made fitting a few simple things, always been in to DIY and this is no different

Oh, sorry Paul - I misunderstood. I didn't mean to imply anything. Just trying to encourage and have a bit of fun at the same time - you'll do well.
