I have to grab a new battery after work today but I didn't take the old one with me. I know the dimensions can vary so I don't wanna grab the wrong one. Can anyone give me a model number , size, whatever I need to know,on the battery your are using? I don't want to make 2 trips. Thanks.

From the Tech Vault:
Battery cross reference coutesy of Fishercat
Yacht = CTX12-BS Interstate = YTX12-BS Westco = 12V12-B (Brent sells Westco) Delco = GTX12-BS PowerStar = PM12-BS Energizer = 02078210 Champion = 12BS NAPA = 740-1866 Walmart = ES12BS Powersonic = PTX-12BS Sears = 44016
Submitted by Mikemm03: With props to Fishercat and Dinqua I want to recommend the Napa 740-1866, Napa part # 12BS, 209 CCA $54.95. The stock Yuasa is 180 CCA. The Yuasa YTZ14S that Dinqua referenced has 230CCA. This unit is very pricey. Two different quotes in Knoxville,Tn. List price $ 159.99. First quote $ 125.99,second quote $140.99. Both locations stated they would need to order,ya think! Apparently this is the new super duper whatchamacallit. My two cents.
I use the NAPA 740-1866. Good price.

If you have an 09+ your battery is the YT12B-BS which narrower than earlier models which have the YT12-BS ... length 5.9" width 2.7" height 5.1"

Well, this appears to be the day for failing batteries. AmyLee and I were 25 miles from home tonight getting ready for our groups Annual Bike Blessing in Merced Ca. When It was time to leave at 9:00 PM tonight my bike decided to just click at me instead of start. At this point I did a little math and determined it was six plus years old. At this hour of night the only place open is Walmart, long store shortened, I was able to get a lift over to Wally World and I was in luck, they had the right battery. Life is all good now, back at home and ready for tomorrows ride.
