I really enjoy my Speedy I have got my feet postion sorted out by fitting some footboards they really help so now to the handle bar postion.

I seen some Rivco risers on Fast Eddys site that bring's the bars up an inch and also back the same, so to all the good people out there that have these risers fitted did it help the riding postion enough or would it been better to try a different set of bars.

I am a bit of a cheapsake, no to be truthful after I pay all the lovely bills we all have there is not a lot of play money left, so I am trying to get away from the problem of having to buy new cables and brake hose if I had to fit different bars.

So there you have it should I take a chance and try these risers or just keep saving till I have enough money to change everything and yes I know it's a bit of a hard question to answer but always open to other people's opinion's cheers.

Hey Bruce, I can answer the first part but not the second. I have these Rivco Risers fitted with Speedy bars on my America. They give me the same height and pullback as the America bars but obviously with the narrower speedy width.

I find them very comfortable. I am 5' 9". I have a frozen left shoulder that doesn't want to move out and forwards so that's why I changed to this set-up.

I can't answer whether speedy cables will work with these risers (but perhaps Eddy will comment). I do know that I have plenty of spare cable length with the America cables - nearly too much extra length.

Cheers, Richard

I started with the Rivco risers on my Speedie with the std Speedie bars. I had to reroute the throttle cables so they didn't bind. It helped some. BTW, I'm 5'8" and have my own set of shoulder issues. Ultimately, I swapped my handlebars for a set of Biltwell Aces bars with Rivco risers. And yes, it means new throttle, clutch and brake cables. When I get it back on the road in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to tell you if it was worth all the time and expense. But, just sitting on it in the garage I can tell that it's a more comfortable riding position. As far as cables, I got custom length throttle and clutch cables from MotionPro for $120. And I'm getting new brake cables from Cycle Brakes for $115. The brake cables are actually twin cables leading from the resivoir to each front caliper. No more single line to the left caliper and then the crossover line to the right.
Hope this helps.

I have a set of simple spacers from this web site http://www.spacerjim.com/TriumphAmer.htm
They were inexpensive and worked perfectly for me. No need to change cables.

I just put the Baron kickback risers on my '08 Speedy. It brought the handlebars back 1.5" and did not need to re-locate any cables.

They look great too.

I put the Rivco Riser on my 07 Speedmaster and they work well with the foot boards for comfort. At 6 ft. I have a good reach but I like the more upright position and besides drag bars are part of the Speedmaster look...On a throw back to the past saw Jackson Brown last night 18 guitars, piano and just him, great showman.

Hi. I've just put the same Rivco risers on as Foglefar on an '08 Speedie with standard bars, cables etc. Everything seems to be ok (the brake line is a little taut on full left lock) but I've not had any problems. They're certainly comfortable enough and look fantastic (IMHO).
