Since everyone here is a motorcycle enthusiast and all are in some way or another Triumph fans I'll post up some pics of my Bonnie project. She is a 1976 Bonneville T140V. She found me after I answered some guys ad on craigslist up in Maine. He had her locked away in a wet basement for many years which took it's toll but I think she's about ready to see the Arizona sunshine. I'll post pics as the project proceeds. I am currently having the engine rebuilt and doing the rest myself. The frame is being cleaned up and painted while I wait for engine. As always this will be more $$$$ than I expected but it's a labor of love I suppose. Like all good girls should be the goal is an angry, dirty, obnoxious cafe racer. And yes, in the first pic those are Guinness bottles in the background.

Here she is after getting her home:

She's a bit rusty after being in the basement for 10 years:

Engine rebuild begins:

What the inside of a T140 looks like when subject to moisture and no love:

Engine head is un-savable per my engine guy:

Coming back together:

Great start there, Ryan! (<- that's a New Belgium 1554 Enlightened Black Ale there, btw)

I'll be on the lookout for more updates as they come along.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Nice project Ryan. Looks like you have the job well in hand. Love the well laid out work bench. There's something intriguing checking out other blokes shed lay-outs. Looking at some of the gear around your bench, you wouldn't be from an electrical/electronics trade by any chance would you?
Good luck with the restoraton. The bike will pay you back a hundred fold once you get it back out there running again.
