We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I have seen this one before , these guys are riding 250 and smaller bikes and getting a huge blast out of doing it and riding with a group. Just goes to show ya ... to some people size is not important.

Staring riding as a teen. When I went off to college became best friends with an ex-Marine who also rode. He wanted to go off on all these adventures and I was the only person around unable to recognize the folly in such ventures. We traveled all over the country. Never got over it.

I did a trip year before last (age then 54) with a couple of mates I shared a house with when I was 18 and we still all ride.
Never would have thought back then that we would be riding together many many years later.
The sad thing is the fourth person in our house Trevor who used to ride a Honda 4 passed away 5 years ago so you never know when your times up. R.I.P. Trev

Why do I ride? Why do I breathe?  It will unwind your mind and retread your head. You have to concentrate your mind on the task, but at the same time it clears your mind to think. Some of my best ideas have come while riding. (did you know that traffic flow on the highway behaves just like bloodflow in the body?) Enough rambling. Riding is the best thing you can do with your clothes on. And if you play your cards right, it might lead to that other thing... Speed Safe.

over the last couple yrs i have aquired a bit of a blood pressure problem so i keep a close watch on this heart of mine. i can tell ya'll this, when i get home from a nice 100mi plus ride, my pressure has dropped at least 10 points usually more. just the other day i checked after putting about 175 mi on the od and when i got home and checked it, it was so low we were afraid it was to low. proof positive, riding is a healthy thing. but of course that really isnt the bottom line reason why i ride. i ride because i cant imagine not riding, but the health benefits are a big +
