My neutral bulb seems to have burned out on my 05 TBA. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to take it in to my favourite dealer?

It might be loose or corroded in the socket. Remove your dash and try wiggling the socket a bit. If that doesn't work, pop the lens off the dash, remove the rubber mount, pull the bulb, and check the connections there. If everything is good, check to see if you get 12v on that bulb connection when in neutral. If you do, the bulb is probably shot, if you don't, it could be your neutral switch.

Have you had your primary cover off recently? The reason I am asking is that the wires run next to the primary cover and sometimes the wires get pinched when putting it back on. When I did mine my neutral light wouldn't go off til I saw I had pinched the wires. It would be very unusual for that light to burn out so soon.

If the dealer is close drive it by when you go out. Its warranted so is a free check and service, they may fix it while you wait.

OMG. Can dealers fix things? Sorry. How can I say this? The dealers in my area do not have the midas touch. Ten thumbs they have.

Who is your dealer up there? The Gainesville one? Please don't say Cycle Riders!

I hear the Gainesville dealer is OK.

It's not that hard o replace the bulb, and lightbulbs usually come under the list of items not covered by the warrentee.

My local dealer is "Cycle Accessories West" here in Jacksonville. It's not where I bought the bike though, I got from "Palm Beach Triumph" $800.00 cheaper.
