World of Triumph is selling the chrome side panel for our bikes. Does anyone know if these are available on this side of the pond? Are they available at all. I checked shipping from England and $70 bucks is a bit steep for a $75 item

Huh... I looked there Greg but couldn't find it. I saw chrome sprocket covers but not side panels.

Works for me. Part number A9730052 listed for $74.53 US. I have the link going directly to the item. No picture though.

Just be aware however, if you do end up with the chrome side cover... it must be fitted by a trained mechanic. Do NOT attempt this at home!!

I picked one up on Ebay (new) for $80 about four weeks ago, so there are some out there still. 
Caspian Blue '03 BA, Union Jack/Stars and Stripes paint, BUBs, Progressive 812s, and lots of chrome

It's liable to be much higher quality than the factory piece. Console yourself with that.

I saw one in person a couple years ago at a local dealer on a used bike. It was quite mesmerizing....like a unicorn or hot drunk girl.

They probally didn't catch on because of the need for a trained mechanic to do the installation which I have heard is quite complex. At least a couple of hours work in it.

Why do these Triumph Certified sites continue to taunt us with unobtainium flavoured parts complete with a price tag and delivery costs....... Don't they know what is and isn't available??????

just a thought ...but why not go to a sign company and have your side panel wrapped in chrome vinyl ?

They are chromed plastic, like the stock turn signals and the tank console. I don't think metal side covers were ever available on our bikes although they were available on very early new Bonnevilles.

meh, i don't mind spending the money so much, yeah i had m and m metalizing do it they are the best; but super grumpy (i guess when you are the best you can be grumpy.) i will post pics when i get it back

Another thought may be for the chrome/blue color change paint that Duplicolor sells. I saw a V maxx done in it and it looked BADA$$!
