Does anyone know if a bonneville or a thruxton speedo cable will work on a speedmaster.

I think they are a little short if I remember rightly....

What is a source for a different (longer) speedo cable for our bikes? Anybody know? I know that the connect to the speedo itself has 12mm threads as a lot of older Jap bikes do, but the split rod cable end to the front wheel has to match as well. I changed over to a mini and relocated the speedo, but had to use a 8" extension to stretch it out, looks hokey, IMO, so I'm on the hunt as well.

I didnt hook mine up when i put the front wheel on when i back up the bike up it snapped the tip of .My bike is lowerd in the front so it might work i was worried the threads were differant.

I'm using a speedo cable extension from a XS650 Yamaha, Mikes XS sell them for under $20 and they come in 3 different lengths 4' 8' 10', I'm using a 10" extender myself, screws straight to our cables, and straight to most after market, or even the orriginal gauge

T100 cable does fit but is as mentioned a bit tight , but when you are sat on there is enogh play . Ive had it fitted for over 2 years , no problems
