Could a person come to England and buy a speedmaster vacation then shippe it back and save any money. Or at lesat not lose and have a great vacation on a great bike. a freind told me it cost him $1800 round trip to shippe his bike to Italy last year. And I can catch a hope for my air fare.Rudy

Where the savings are is in buying the vehicle (same rules for bikes, cars and trucks) and touring with it until you have put enough miles on it to qualify as used. The import taxes on used vehicles are much lower in most countries. On the other hand, UK made products are usually much cheaper in other countries because exports avoid the VAT.

Speedmaster UK on the road price is £6,749 = $10,925 I think renting a bike over here would be a better deal.

We see things like the ad above. How can their sales be so strong when they are selling bikes they couldn't sell all year and throwing in incentive accessories just to unload it?

Pete's is actually a good shop to deal with. I bought my 09 America from then and have had nothing but good dealings.

if ya coming to england dont buy a new 1, buy a used 1, probly save anything between 1 to 3 grand or more for a low mileage bike that only gets pushed out of the garage on sunny days, mileage wise you could get 1 with anything from a 100 miles up, and i am not jokin, have a look at the bike ads in MCN thay are a weekly motorcycle news paper which is also on line, just google MCN worth keepin a eye on, i think there are 4 to 5 diffrent triumph dealers all with in 1 1/2 drive from where i live, all have good used deals , and dont forget to pm me before you come over if your going to london...
