I have had a bulb blow on my OEM light bar. They are H3 35 watt. I can only get 55 watt locally. Has anyone had any issues any issues with replacing the 35 watt bulbs with 35 watt? Cheers

Yes, I used a 55w and it fried my relay, at least that was my experience. I believe Fast Eddy has the 35w s.

I got the 35 W bulbs at my local auto parts store. They aren't as common as the 55's.

Fast Eddy's are an upgrade, PIAA, and run about $35. I don't want to knock them, or Fast Eddy - he's been great on every transaction I've had with him, and I'm considering the similar upgrade for the H4 headlight bulb, from him. But I consider the OEM 35w plenty bright and an upgrade not needed. The first 35w I found locally at an auto parts store who then quit carrying them. After that I ordered from Light Bulb Emporium , specifically these 35w H3s at a tenth of the cost. I ordered a couple to lower the per unit shipping cost. Good service too - the first bulb burned out almost immediately and they sent a replacement out right away, no questions asked.

Thanks, confirmed what I thought, I shall have to send off, local stores don't have 35 watt.
Cheers

I have experienced that anything over 35 watts = headaches. O' Reilly has 35s and even 25s but both had to be ordered. I went with the 25s, it puts out enough light without putting a strain on your electrical system.

I currently have 55's & as a consequence don't run the lightbar as much.

On my first TBA, the original lightbar bulbs blew out fairly quickly. All I could find were 50 watt (maybe they were 55, I don't remember) at a local bike shop. I didn't have any real problems except they were a little hot. Had to be real careful with the wires tucked in behind.
I was going to replace them with some 35 watt Xenon blue bulbs (from NewSpeedmater.com) but the bike was totaled before the bulbs arrived. The Xenon blue bulbs are in the "new" 07 TBA, including the headlight, and I'm happy with their brightness.
Blue/White 2007 TBA, Thruxton needles, Unifilter, AI removed, Polaris Bellmouth, Bubs, Nology Coils/wires, Lightbar, Ricor Intiminators, Hagon Nitros, Tall Sissy Bar w/luggage rack, Dart flyscreen & Lowers. 130 Mains, TrueGel Battery MG12-BS.
