I really enjoy checking out the "member's rides" forum and thought I'd throw a few pics of mine up. I took these today after recently doing a little work over the winter months - rear fender work/paint; battery relocation (thanks brokenfixed), signals/plate/tail light, hagon suspension.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I have a few more minor "appearance" items I want to take care of yet; then I begin thinking about my to-do list for next winter.

Yes indeed. How's that seat ride?

Very nicely done touches there, Jason. Besides the beautifully cleaned up rear fender, I like the clever way you've attached your turn signals, too!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I forgot to mention the seat, I grabbed the Maverick Lowrider Seat after Warlock first mentioned making and selling these on ebay. It feels good to me for short rides and "in-town" adventures; I have not put any really long rides on it yet.

I'm really happy with the fender. The PPG guy had a little trouble matching the color initially, but eventually got it spot on - finding the right base to go under the 6 coats of candy was the key.

I'm happy with where I put the front signals, but it was challenging to get them perfect because of where they are mounted. Because they are not mounted on a flat surface, they sometimes look "off" optically depending on the angle you look at them.

You nailed it man. It's sometimes hard to envision exactly how it's all gonna come together. You nailed it.

I took my america tank to the local Ford dealership to have repainted Mulberry Red, and they said that they were unable to match the paint. Did you have a hard time finding someone to repaint the fender? It looks great! Maybe I should try talking to another painter.

@brokenfixed - yeah, thanks again

@mgpauls - it was a little more difficult than expected - they originally tried to use a regular base with a deep red and just couldn't get it to match. After a few tries they ended up using a copper base and then some coats of candy to get the right shade. The PPG guy thought it would take 3 or 4 coats, but my painter ended up taking 6 coats of candy to get the shade right. It really is perfect now.

WOW!! Sharp bike. Making the bike all one color in the stock mulberry, AWESOME! Nice job on the fender.
