Now the old girls grown up into a 904 and I blocked the X over pipe I notice a hardness to the exhaust tone.. after 30 minutes it starts to give me a headache.

I like the look of the short TORs but needed a slightly lesser tone / volume.

I decided to add some 4" baffles and as I couldnt get them in the end of the pipes I decided to put them at the join where silencer meets downpipe.

This is it

End result is a very slightly better tone, and a couple of DB lower... still loud, but nice.

Are those the straight through, or baffled TORs?

Looking in the end you can see through them to the other end.

You can also tack weld a washer with a smaller hole in the center of it at the front side of the muffler. It can always be knocked back out or the hole drilled out to flow a bit more,or for a little more sound.

That made me smile

I do use plugs on long rides but this is just nice now... I just love this damn bike.

Baffling at the end of the expansion chamber (tail end of the silencer) is likely to be more effective.

Indeed, but as stated I didnt want to hatchet the short TOR`s as I quite like them, this way its jus about right for my old ears while NO ONE knows there in there
