I bought a brand new kawasaki 800 vulcan classic for my wife birthday. Paid 5000 $ us.She feel more comfy on the kawa compare to Triumph, I guess it is not a bad deal . What is your thought. merci

She's more comfortable on it and you don't have to worry about her borrowing you bike now - sounds good to me.

Hi Jean-Luc, I agree with roundy, if she's happy, I figure you must be too!  Interesting though, the Kawi is heavier and only 3/4" lower than the BA in the saddle (stock). Is your wife going to make the ride to GA this year?

whhat they said. plus it should be a reliable bike fr the mst part and accessories are fairly cheap compared to our bikes

Good choice for her. Nice looking bike and I think its a bit lighter and lower than the TBA or SM. Actually I think it has less horses but produces more torgue so will surely get out of its own way.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

A couple of the motorcycle rags did tests on the 800 this past year. Got high marks. I don't think you could do better, considering that she's happy (#1) and the price certainly is reasonable. The one article called the bike a 'value leader', based on what you get for what you pay. I don't disagree.

when i was lookin for a new bike i was leaning real hard in that direction, Thank God Triumph came up with the America just in the nic of time. i thought i was gonna have to settle for some jap bike or just stay with Prudence (my 72) but if i was gonna have to go jap, that is the bike i was lookin at. Why didnt you just get her an America and lower it 2"???
