OP bikerboy321 Adjunct Joined: May 2007 Posts: 121	Have any you had the Ignition solenoid break? Mine has, so I was on e-bay looking for replacements and there's a few there from Triumphs. How common is this? I have got a replacement in the post, am hot wiring it each time to start it whilst I wait. Also, for anyone wondering how they break, water has got inside causing the spring to stiffen up... so I'm going to devise a cover of some type (the new solenoids have a cover on the sprint ST's but are more expensive.) Ben

Haven't seen it on our bikes but I have on older bikes and especially Fords. I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains. Eat right ,Exercise ,Stay fit, Die Anyway!

It's off a ten year old bike that's spent the last three years being used every day in any conditions, also keep it outside. So plenty of chance for rain to get into it.
