Just thought that BA.com readers might be interested to know that this May, Rex Bun the Engineer that patented & markets the Bunn Breather Kits is going to be using my Triumph Bonneville America as a test bike to set up a TBA, TBSM specific Crankcase Breather Kit? The kits is going to be fitted free of charge and there is a lot of testing going to be conducted before and after the fitment to look at just what changes/improvements the BBK makes on the 790cc engine. I am keeping my machine dead stock until the testing is done to give Rex a good platform from which he can base his results. I currently run a BBK on my '71 650 Tiger and the improvements it has made on that particular engine are quite noticable. Here are some pics of the set-up on my Tiger:

Will keep you guys informed on the progress once work commences and hopefully there will be lots of pics and test results that come with the final set-up.
I'm excited now

First TBA inthe world with a BBK

I have been e-mailing Rex since his article on engine breathers came out in MCN magazine - which was an eye opener. With a 904 BB kit and no air box I'm getting too much oil blowing out of the breather - even though I keep the oil on the low line of the eye glass. He asked for pictures of the set up. He has a lot of knowledge on the topic and deals mostly with vintage triumphs but is looking to get a handle on the problem with newer bikes. He thinks the BB kits may be overwhelming the stock breathers - which are set up to meet emissions specs and aren't doing whats best for the bikes.
