With snow up to my a** still cold (for a sensible fair weather rider like myself), I am ready to ride. Nothing fancy mind you just a trip to the store, work, park, wherever would be nice. The weather is just starting to change a bit and it may be another six weeks until the cover comes off!

Well, I think riding season will be delayed this year in this part of the world. Just got dumped on... getting dumped on, and more snow in the forecast. Last year it was March 6th when I put 'er on the road... that ain't gonna happen this year. There ya go Frank... I left 'er wide open for ya!!

So just after I typed up that last post I went to the the weather channel's website for an updated forecast and what do I see? I bold red lettering... "Snowfall warning for West Kootenay" That's where I live!! Whoe boy, more time to work on the bike I guess!

Now we try as best we can to ensure ba.com remain "Worldwide since 1903". I've been around the neighbourhood long enough to truly appreciate the offerings representing both hemispheres. Heck we even have a well-versed and knowledgeable moder-tator from Australia
But I have noticed how our brothers/sisters from the south feel obligated to chime in words of support during the northern Hemisphere cool months. Which makes me wonder if phrases like "Went for a spin, but had to wear a light jacket today" could somehow be blocked between October & April with the new software package site Guru Friar John has in place?

I'd contribute something useful, but I need to adjust the a/c controls in my hotel room here in Bangkok, Thailand...

That is totally unfair as we have been known to suffer down here in the winter months-drops down to 14 or 15 degree c on a cold day. Frank will back me on this!!!!! Its bloody hard to be a biker in Queensland! Sunburn and dehydration everywhere!

We may be an insensitive lot down here, but we are likeable. I was banking on you guys up there being able to ride by the 1st. April. 3 good things on one day. You riding. My birthday. Jo & I being in Bali drinking beer at the swim-up pool bar. Keep thinking positive you guys it could happen. By the way, 31c today.

My sentiments go to our northern hemisphere brothers up over (well we're down under). I've owned my TBA for just on two & a half months now and this afternoon on my commute home was the first time in all that wonderful riding that I actually got sprinkled on by a very light shower. I've been toying with the idea of naming my TBA "Moses" owing the fact of the way it parts the clouds but that would be a little too cocky of me? Hang in there snow bound members, the weather is bound to break sometime soon. In the mean time the members from down under will keep on ramping up those miles.

We suffer plenty. Imagine how hard it is trying to find time between rides to do the little things, some of the general maintenance that our northern brothers have so much time for..... It just isn't fair!!! ;-)

Been riding weather for 3 weeks here. I don't know what you are complaining about.
WOW ........ another clear week in the mid 70's in the forecast again.....sweet!

Rode to work this morning, was about 30F. For the ride home it was about 50. Felt great. I needed that. Springs just around the corner.
