Greetings all! I'm sure this is posted somewhere but I can't find anything. I have an '09 America and am thinking about using Speedmaster risers with the America handlebar. Has anyone tried this? Does this configuration work with stock wires and cables. Thank you very much for your help and ride safe!

If memory serves all you will need to do is route the throttle cables to the other side of the frame from where they are now.I run BA bars on my SM and used BA cables and brake line. My risers are 1/2" taller than the stock SM and have 1 1/2" pull back.

Thanks Dog. I'm not sure what you mean by 'routing the throttle cables tothe other side of the frame'. Could you explain more or post some pics. Thank you.

The throttle cables run from the carbs up the left side of the frame under the gas tank then cross over to the throttle side behind the headlight. You will need to disconnect the cables (throttle end is easier) and run them up the right side instead. You will need to pull the tank to do this.

I did the same on the "Woody" with the cables (right side) to work with the HD FLH bars. Snug but no problems.
I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I was going.

I used America throttle & clutch cables.
I also changed the Speedy brake line to the right side calliper and ran it on the outside.

On my bike I used the BA brake line and ran it to the left caliper like the old SM line.My riders are 4 1/2" tall and 1 1/2" pull back.

That's what happens when you park on a dirt driveway that has a thin layer of mud from the rain. I check the pressure every time I mount a tire.
