Hi,
is there any easy way to ease the pressure against feet at high speeds ? I mean my size of shoes is medium, but still
the wind starts give trouble at longer range.

floorboards might be an option for you, unless you want to amputate your feet?

Geez, be nice to the guy. I suggest less Fred Flinstone and more throttle twisting.  Ok, seriously, the floorboards will help a lot, or maybe even the Kuryakin (sp?) switchblades.

Alternate between standard position, the rear pegs, and hanging the back of your heals (achilles) on the front pegs.

I have hwy pegs mounted low so I can kick my feet up, heels on oem pegs and rest my feet on the hwy pegs. The set up is low so its comfortable and I also use my rear pegs as a third option. Heres a pic

I can't speak highly enough about having a set of rear pegs for the driver. I'm using a set of Newspeedmaster brackets that I got used (off ebay I think) with the passenger pegs. FastEddySports has a solution that clamps to the rear frame down tubes. You can see the former in this shot:  Either way, it was a revelation in comfort for the highway, being able to both stretch out my stubby legs on the factory floorboards and "squat" on the rear pegs, stretching an entirely different set of muscles. Also, I can stand up on them both for another kind of stretch and for riding over dirt or other uneven surfaces at low speeds. And of course wind isn't a problem with my feet on the rear pegs.

Hey John, I might be wrong here, as I'm no mechanic but I'm pretty sure that chain is WAAAY too loose  Just offering some advice, tighten it up a tad, eh? I know, I know ... you're drifting towards the shaft drive complacency thing. My work here is done

Those are thin enough to be waterjet cut by the basket load. The only issue then is that beveled section.

Welcome to the site Lasse. I think it is a marrage of seat position, handle bars and foot pegs. How tall are you? All these things may have some bearing on comfort. When you say freeway speeds, are you affected by the wind buffeting against your'e feet or is it merely the position?

2 cents: Having both the newspeedmaster passenger peg relocation holders and the oem, I prefer the oem passenger peg location when rolling cross country. Its about stretching out. The relocated position is still to 'bunched up' imho.

Actually, you're somewhat correct there, moe. Yep, especially if somebody has cut down their seat, those mid-pegs of mine(in this case) WOULD bend their knees more than a preferable 90 degrees when they'd place their feet on 'em.
And so, this is why I've added about an inch and a half of foam to my seat, which keeps my knees (32" inseam, here) at just about that 90 degrees when I place my feet upon those mid-pegs.
(...yep, and it's a great feeling and added comfort to be able to sit in that "classic standard riding position" for mile after mile out there on the road, occasionally.)

It's kinda funny, I'm sitting here at my desk at home and I noticed that my feet are tucked under me, under the chair. Apparently feet-on-rear-pegs is a more natural stance for me. I must be part gargoyle.

My Speedmistress was fitted with runningboards by the previous owner and felt a bit wierd at first but now that I'm used to them I can't complain at all.
I did a 560 kilometre ride last Sunday and only after the first 400 K did my bum start to get a bit sore. I was sitting on 110/120 kph occasionally 130 and the feet/legs were happy. I haven't tried the rear peg alternating riding style yet but must give it a go next long journey I take , more for the bum/back relief than anything else. (you learn something everyday)
If you get the chance to take a ride on a Speedy with boards before you commit to buying some maybe you will get an idea of how they feel.
I think that if your feet are giving you problems these will help more than hinder.

It's related to fact that my feet are pretty long and the problems rice at speeds where I need to push my feet forward against the pegs to keep them there. You can do it for a while, but at the end you need to slow down or take a break. I don't get much help from using heels, it ain't very comfortable to knees.

This concept is NOT all that far fetched really. My 2002 Trophy has what they call "foot spoilers" installed which effectively diverts wind and rain away from the foot peg area, rendering the feet relatively unscathed by any and all turbulence around them. And I must tell you... it works VERY well!

Legs fully extended will hurt the knees. Slightly bend your legs while hitching your heels over the pegs. Toes pointed slightly outward too.
While in the oem riding posture, at speed, your knees should be tight to the tank. I cannot ride at 5K+ rpms too long in the stock position either. Whereas laying down on the bike and using the air flow to help keep you off the tank is a nice high speed position. 80+ mph and you will float between the tank and an upright postion all due to the wind speed.
Being blown off the bike is more a total body thing than a foot/feet thing. A tradeoff occurs. So, when the discomfort arises, change your position until that new position becomes uncomfortable. Then the prior position is comfortable again. (for a time)

Having said all that, what the real riding comfort factor whilst in a gale, is a backrest. Hands down. (I funcked around on Cinnamon Girl today and realized doing the Achilles rest thing is all about not having to constantly keep your rearend forward in the saddle.) A backrest is a primary farkle.

Thank you all for good hints and some good laughs too ! I have to think a bit before taking 1st step. Really interesting to hear that there's even foot spoilers available. Mountainman or anyone: is there some good photo how they'd look on bike and if they worth trying ? I don't think that spoiler will benefit any of the issues you mentioned, it would take some kind of fairing like Harley has on their tour glides and that equals a lot of fiberglass on the front. Maybe Velcro?...nah..forget I said it. I need another cup of coffee.

Hi again ! It seems sometimes you see what you want and in my case frontspoiler came footspoiler I still wonder what the america's frontspoiler funcktion is.. didn't find it out in net. In any case after reading the email through again (and doing some ergonomic tests) I'm turning to feel strongly what Moe said is a fact in my case. It's the whole ergonomic package. I've already adjusted the handlebar a bit and next step is to buy a backrest. The backrest will allow me to push back against the wind also with feet (against the pegs). I've found a promising backrest model from Protac. These as start, if don't help then I have to dig somewhere more bucks.

Ha! Funny thing is I thought of you this morning as I was removing the backrest from Vera Lynn. Installed the lay down license plate bracket on Sunday. Took some pictures then this morning placed her fender bib back on and removed her backrest. Sunday  Monday  You should love the protac backrest. Eddy will sort you out on the shipping and such.

The backrest seems to be the crusial thing to fix my problem. Now at high speed, the backrest supports and I can push feet towards the front.
