After seeing the bobbed rear fender on Dwights BA, it is something that has to go on my to do list.

Mine is black so I can't see a problem with repainting.

Just a couple of questions.

Are BA fenders the same as Speedy fenders.

The best place to look for an aftermarket rear number plate light.

Yes, same fender, and there are plate frames that are lit, do you guys have those gigantic plates down there like in the UK?

No Dave, we haven't got billboards.

Our plates are 7 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep.

If you keep the indent for the stock license plate frame you can get one of Zmilin's lay down license plate kits when they're available (or make your own using his instructions). Then wire your turn signals as running lights and brake lights (with red lenses, probably).

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Thanks John I found the thread with the measurements for the laydown one. It seems your plates are the same size as ours.

Thanks Dwight that's just what I was after. I looked through the Ozzie websites and there is not a lot of choice. Also didn't want to buy something unseen. Having seen yours on the bike I can't see a problem.

Thanks Chuck, I thought about that as well. But what do you use for a number plate light.

Do you need a resistor to use those LED lights for the plate? I know the ones at British Customs need it, but those on Amazon are cheaper (er less expensive).
Side note: I went into a HD dealer the other day and their lighted plates like that and they were $150!! Glad I own a Triumph I'd need a second job if I had a hawg.
