I have just received a package from Newbonneville and would like to share the joy of my purchases.

I took off my seat and back rest as I will ride solo seat for awhile with the new seat. Had a bit of a tidy up down here with the wiring.

The low profile seat looks great. I have to say after riding it I found it to be very slippery. I am hoping as it wears in it will get a little grippier or I will get use to it.

I fitted the new LCF oil plug which looks really cool and the matching LCF carbi caps. I got these because the standard tops keep rusting and are difficult to access and keep clean.

I fitted the mesh stone guard to the headlight which is the finishing touch I was looking for after previously rattlecan painting it flat black and leaving chrome showing like flames and the lower headlight mount.

I then fitted these luggage tie off points as when I replace the pillion pad I will be able to tie a bag or parcel down. They actually look good anyway in reality.

I also fitted a 125 db horn to replace the lowsy standard one. It was an easy just plug in the new one and bolt it down in the same location. The gaiters are next but the weather is too nice to play in the garage so off I went for a ride with me mate Barney on his Vulcan.

Now that I have got that ride in I will have to knuckle down and slip those gaiters on. Maybe I should use this...

Looks great Stevie! I have those same LCF pieces (oil fill cap & carb covers) and they look very nice on my TBA.

Enjoy the beautiful views down under. I can't wait to go back later this year. I wish I could bring my bike with me.

Now all you need are knobby tires to match the stone guard...

Some nice stuff there Stevie. That mesh headlight guard gives your Speedie a nice retro look.
Maybe if your wet your new leather seat a little before riding it might make it more grippier?

Hey Stevie, does the mesh headlight guard come off very easily in case you want to clean your headlight lens?

The stone guard just snaps on and off from the front.

Very handy to have around if you feel like chips you just push a potato through and woila into the oven. You like chips dontcha FJ?

stephen,

Your ride is looking tight. the low profile saddle is starting to gnaw on my subconscious. Gotta stop thinking about it. Yet, that, a bobbed fender, and my thruxton tank...

Found out the best way to get rid of the slipperyness of the new seat was to rub a handful of dirt into it. Its perfect now.
