I just got finished watching the Life of Brian for the thousanth time. It never fails to make me laugh. Some stuff never gets old.
What is your favorite Monte Python skit or scene?

GUARD: 'Allo, daffy English kaniggets and Monsieur Arthur-King, who
is afraid of a duck, you know! So, we French fellows out-wit you a
second time!
ARTHUR: How dare you profane this place with your presence!? I command
you, in the name of the Knights of Camelot, to open the doors of this
sacred castle, to which God himself has guided us!
GUARD: How you English say, I one more time-a unclog my nose in your
direction, sons of a window-dresser! So, you think you could
out-clever us French folk with your silly knees-bent running about
advancing behavior! I wave my private parts at your aunties, you
heaving lot of second-hand electric donkey bottom biters.
ARTHUR: In the name of the Lord, we demand entrance to this sacred
castle!
GUARD: No chance, English bedwetting types. I burst my pimples at you
and call your daughter an unrequested silly thing. You tiny-brained
wipers of other people's bottoms!
ARTHUR: If you do not open this door, we shall take this castle by
force!
[splat]
In the name of God and the glory of our--
[splat]
Right! That settles it!
GUARD: Yes, this time and try
any more or we fire arrows at the tops of your heads
and make castanets out of your testicles already! Ha ha!
ARTHUR: Walk away. Just ignore them.
GUARD: No, remain you illegitimate faced buggerfuls! And, if you think
you got nasty taunting this time, you ain't heard nothing yet! Daffy
English kaniggets! Thpppt!
ARTHUR: We shall attack at once!
BEDEMIR: Yes, my liege!
ARTHUR: Stand by for attack!

My favorite has got to be: "The Argument Clinic"

(...so tell me folks...am I the only one who often sees a parallel between this skit and the antics at this "clinic", otherwise known as BA.com???)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

noone likes the naked chick scene in the Life of Brian. The look on Brians moms face is priceless.

One thing that amazes me though is how many times I get asked about Monty Python when I'm across the pond.

Personally I think there are funnier British comedy programmes like Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers and The Office but Monty Python is definetly up there.

I grew up with Monty Python. The Life of Brian is definitely my favorite, followed closely by The Holy Grail. In fact, I have both on DVD. The final scene wit the whistling never fails to make me laugh. That and the stuttering guy. I really llllllllllooo, enjoy it...<g>

Some things in life are bad,
they can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.

When your chewing on life's gristle,
don't grumble, give a whistle,
and this'll help things turn out for the best

and..
(all together now)

Always look on the bright side of life

(whistle...)

Ill stick to the movies. I love the whole tv series stuff.

I Have to say HOLY GRAIL. I was about 12 when it came out. Didnt really understand most of it at the time, but my brother bought the "LP" of it and me an a buddy wore it out and had our favorite lines.

I to this day will say only the first Half of Life of Brian. I fall asleep on the second part.

I need to watch Meaning of life as an adult. Didnt understan most the humor as a kid. Grim reaper showing up at dinner and the puking fat guy are what stick out in my head.

As for other british stuff ,,, Are you being served, AB FAB, and As time goes bye with Madam Judy Dench She rocks. I love her as "M"
