I just acquired a new ride to my stable...

...with just over 17000 original miles.

I have always loved the big Kawasakis from the 70s. It needs a little TLC but nothing too hard.

Yep but vintage rice is okay in my books. Anything before 1980 is pretty cool. There is more plastic on my speedy than on the kawasaki.

I will only ride her occasionally as my speedy is my pride and joy. Besides "old rice can be nice."

She is far from standard so I dont intend on makin her standard either. The "Fryer" will be unique as is my Speedy. I have some cool ideas. I really DO have to get a job though.

I distinctly remember of those things tearing away from a roadside General Store Bedrock, Colorado in about 1979. It was an eye-opener for this child. And no, the Flintstone family was out of the Paradox Valley that day

Enjoy the ride

Yes indeed.

Local wild boy Jesse had one years ago. Jess thought he would ride into Arnie's gas station on the back wheel, and set her down right at the pump. Kind of like a carrier landing, but without the oh so necessary hook & cable. Seems as though the Winter's sand made other plans for ol' Jess, and he had to get off / initiate the ejection seat procedure 30 feet or so too early. The bike goes sliding across the pavement, slaps itself upright against the gas pump, then flops back down. Arnie happens to be at the door and witnesses this entire trick ride gone awry demo. Arnie runs out the door with that special look on his face that reads: panic / anger / WTF / push the fire foam button?, as Jesse is getting back up.

Jesse stands up while brushing the sand and pavement chunks off his trousers and yells out: "Fill her up Arnie"

Nice find Stevie. I'm sure the Kwaka will keep you busy getting it up to the same magnificent standard as your Speedmaster?
We'll have to arrange an outing on our classics in the near future?
