Guess I'm going to have to dig around for the pink boa...jut where of where did I put it.... lol
Well folks, Im a maybe this year, as I have been out of work since Nov. Urgh this job huntig stuff sucks, would rather be riding. But if I get a job soon, I'll put the dates on my calendar. More than likely come up Thursday night or Friday nite. Well stay in touch.
I did get out a couple weeks ago and went to Poppy's. They were getting the patio ready for the season. So once the weather breaks that place will be hoping again.
And scott, I'll look around for something interesting to stop or do. Happy riding to all.
Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?

As for something to do, there's a new place in Bellvue. It's called OFFSHORE BAR & GRILL. It's big enough to accomodate a bunch of people inside and it has a 3 level deck out the back. Of course it's right on the river, so the view great. The food is very good and the beer is very cold. Could be a Thursday or Friday night destination.

I just went out on a little cafe racer I built over the winter. What a riot! Its a little toooooo small for me though. It's 45 and sunny here in Duluth. Just right...... June can't get here soon enough! Still open to a roomie, don't worry, I'm not any creepier than any one else here Later!

Ann Marie- Good luck with the job hunting, hope it works out. You could always just blackmail Rick with some of those pink boa pictures (you know, the ones we didn't see) and have him pay for your room, food, gas etc. John- That place sounds cool to me. Maybe like you said, a possible thursday or friday night dinner spot. Jim- You would have to be pretty darn creepy to scare off any of this crowd!

They've backed off on the flood predictions here, so now i can think about important things like motorcycle rides.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! You and Ann Marie did an awesome job last year, I don't think anyone would mind doing the great river road again. The friday ride down to Poopys was great too. Hopefully you can play hooky from work and ride with us on friday too this year.

There are a few campgrounds within 15 miles, there are also a few lower priced hotels in dubuque. Motel 6 is about 6 miles, and The Glenview motel is about 4 miles. Also there is the Swiss Inn. just down the hill from Timmermans.

All the hotels near Galena tend to be more expensive during that time of year, but you may find something cheaper on the Iowa side of the river. Last year we made the decision out on the deck to keep the venue the same, since it worked out so nicely. Maybe next year we'll find new digs. Gary (Darksider) is definitely the authority on the area, I'm in Chicago, so I really don't have much for you other than what I find on the internet. I can tell you however, that it will be a good time no matter where you stay. Hope you guys can make it!

Country Heights Motor Inn is in the Sandy Hook area of Wisconsin, very close to East Dubuque. Their phone number is (608)748-4866.

Sun shiney day! I landed a job in the Quad Cities area. So I don't have to move. I'll be starting in May, going to take a bike trip the week after easter with my new boyfriend too Nashville and see friends of ours in South Carolina. So now I will really pencil in the weekend in for the Rally. Will know after I get working if I can play hookie on that friday or not. If not I'll ride up that night. Happy Riding to all. And if any in the area is getting together on a weekend to give a shout.
Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?

Kind of a social hour more than anything. 15 bucks gets you sloppy joes, potato chips, free draft beer, and a little cruise on the Miss. River.

Yeah, the food sucks, but the boat ride is cool, I keep going back and forth on the idea, and figured what the heck. Maybe ill contact the place hacksaw mentioned and see if they can set something up for us. Still gonna need a head count though.

Me plus one On which ever is decided. Once the weather gets a little nicer. I'll try to take a ride up that way and see what else is around. If ya want a boat ride, there is the car ferry up in Cassville WI. Something to think of for Sat ride.

I mentioned you guys to the folks at Offshore. They said reservations would not be required, but a "heads up" phone call would be appreciated. Here's the web site. www.offshorebellevueia.com I agree with everyone else about the boat. Good ride, lousy food.

I'm in , should be arriving Thursday. Wife will probably come down with me but she won't be doing any riding this year (bad back). Looking forward to seeing you all, as for Friday, I'm good with whatever and yes the cruise food does suck, but the beer is cold so there is a bit of an offset... Rich

Welcome to the asylum. We usually do a ride around the countryside, find a few places to stop for scenery and food, then end the day with beer and bs on the deck at Timmerman's Motel in east Dubuque.

I'm working on my schedule and if I can sneak away from the crew here. Is anybody coming from the MI area? Would be fun to have a riding buddy.
