Taken on the Devil's Backbone (RR-32) near Wimberly TX. Great pie and coffee. Mostly superficial stuff; snrkel removal, short tors and stuff. The bags are modified off of a wrecked Trophy. Had to replace and refit the backs, but shell was in great shape and the color matches real well except under close scrutiny. Best of all, come the spring, they pop off thanks to ez brackets. Right now, she's packed with winter riding stuff.

What bags are those? Are those just reflectors on the bags or lights?

They are sticker type reflectors. Were already on them.
And Perceval, yeah its tough winter's here, but somebody has to endure them. The ride started out a brisk 43 degrees warming up to the 50's, but a glorious day till the mid afternoon and a front moved in. It's colder today, but still riding.

Ok, not sure why the pics weren't working for me before but they are now. I have to say WOW! Those bags look amazing on the bike. Now I've gotta go track down a wrecked Trophy to score some bags. This website has cost me so much money!

Install for these bags got a little tricky because the backboard was really chewed up. I removed the old stuff, replacing it with 3/8 plywood. Then fiberglassing the inside for water proofing and adding a rubber coat to the exterior. After that it just a case of mounting easy brackets and attaching to the bike. I may redo them if I can find better materials. I bought the bags off of Craigslist for about $100 as I remember. Already Pacific blue, so the color is close even though a couple of years older. Not much of a bags kinda guy, but they work for the winter gear. Come the spring they will most likely be setting in a corner. I can really tell the difference with the bags packed; tools, foulweather gear, coffee thermos, and other BS that seems to sneak in there when I'm not looking. Would like to see more of the later TA bikes so I can get some ideas on what I can do with EFI stuff.

Nice, I had to do a double-take there. Your bike is a twin of Snekepete's old bike, right down to the blue Trophy bags!

Gotta say I didn't know there was others out there. They look better than mine. I even like the trunks. I wonder what trickery had to happen to mount them? I don't ride with a pillion or rest usually (though I do have them), but the trunk would be nice for the really long hauls. Alas, it's always a bummer when you find out you're not unique (or first on an idea). But, who cares.

Marlin, easy on the self deprecation. Your ride is gorgeous, and your saddlebags are too. I could say, "even though you have one of those indentless tanks", but I won't!

Pure Class.

One could say that style of saddlebags look BETTER with the fat tank than the classic indented style.
