Does anyone know if you can add rake cups or bearings in the neck to kick the front end out a bit more?

K, I learned something new, and I change bearings for a living. But there are thousands of accessories for Hardley s and 'bout a hundred and three for Triumph s, sometimes you can make them cross over (H D) and sometimes you should just own a tool and die shop.

Haven't ever heard of rake cups being used on hour bikes. I've seen people who've machined new triple trees for the bike to increase the rake. And I've seen at least one bike where they actually chopped it to extend the neck 5 degrees. Got a picture of that one...

Note the gap behind the neck--they didn't replace the stock gussets.

It might be better to save up and get offset trees. It is a real PITA to get offset cups aligned right and keep them that way.

I wouldn't imagine 3-4º being worth the trouble or cost, but go for it if that's what you like!

I've used raked cups in Harleys before. Typically I'll stake them in the neck just to be certain. It is important to note that because of the increased angle, the # of threads caught in the steering stem nut will decrease - sometimes substantially.

I went with the 3.5 degree additional rake with the trees and added a 21" rim/wheel .... it doesn't corner as well but on the highway it is noticiably better (IMO) met my goals

says you. I think the bigger the better.
