Like the low mount battery. Thought of doing that with the battery on mine awhile back. Saved one of the old batteries so I could use it to make the bracket with, just need the time. Lookin good.

Great looking bike! Any clearance issues with the pipes? I'm looking at a set which is how I found your thread.
How bout a closeup of the battery holder? I was thinking about doing that then adding a fake oil tank for the electrickery.
One more, did you just cut the rear fender struts to use with that fender?

not sure what you are asking- there are no clearance issues with the pipes- they are not full scrambler pipes though- i used only the front sections from the head to where the the wrap starts then bent and welded up the rest- the best pic i have of the battery box is on pg 5 of this post- if you plan on building one of these there are a couple of things to keep in mind- the rear of your bike either needs to be slammed to the dirt(10.5 in shocks)or you're gonna need a shorter battery- if not the terminals will make fireworks on the underside of the swingarm- here's a pic of my fender setup- no struts, it bolts directly to the frame- hope this helps ya out- good luck-

Always cracks me up when a familiar bike shows up in my Google Reader feeds... not the first time for this one... (usually via Blood Falcons)

very nice hutch! let me ask you...what shocks are those? Can you ride with two up?It must be very hard almost like a hardtail i guess. I personally bought a set of proggresives 11,5 inch but i had many issues so i had to sell them. The main issue was that the shocks travel were too much...especialy for a second passenger.

They are h-d shocks that i shortened to 10" and spun up some AL bushings to fit the metric studs- the springs weren't cut and i added a spacer inside also to put more preload on the springs- they ride super stiff- almost like struts... maybe 3/4" of travel- and they ride smoother with a passenger on board but will still bottom out on the big bumps while riding 2-up- hope this helps ya out-

I'd be interested to understand how the offroad front tyre combined with road rear handles on different terrains. i wouldn't dare take my stock tyres off road.
