Its snow fun in England folks! Having to ride to work at 6am is this snow and ice is one thing, but after returning to my bike in the car park today I was amazed.... as far as I was concerned Speedmasters had black engines and so did mine last time I looked, but what I saw before me appeared to be a customised look.... A WHITE ENGINE! forcrissakes it looks minging! thing is when I get it home its tooooo cold to wash it so I will have to put up with it.

Wash it?
I'm sorry, what does 'wash it' mean?
Is this an upgrade which an owner can carry out, or is it a shop job?

One of my uncles old Triumphs had the engine stolen out of it while leaving the rest of the bike behind. They didn't put one back in though.

I have to say you Brits are one hardy "race" alright, Neil!

It seems many more of you guys over there use your motorcycles as "basic transportation" than do we Yanks, where we tend to view our motorcycles more as "recreational toys".

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

A "Jumper", really? Need a Yank translation of that one....

: a person who jumps
2a : any of various devices operating with a jumping motion b : any of several sleds c : a connection used to close a break or cut out part of a circuit
3: any of several jumping animals; especially : a saddle horse trained to jump obstacles

You got me lost on this too,is it white from the salt like last year,or is it the freezing fog that has encased it like my winter hack this year?

They've usually got a paper hat, a toy small enough to choke a child and crappy jokes

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without them

A jumper is an item of clothing that us Aussies wear when the temp drops below 18 degrees celsuis (64ish fahrenheit). It is a one peice ensemble (bit like a full length wetsuit) made out of Kangaroo fur - thus the name Jumper... ;-)
