Are they still around? I placed an order over 5 weeks ago, was told part of it won't be here for 3-4 weeks, and have since sent emails and left phone messages with no response.

Huh, that's odd. Brent has always been very quick to respond to my emails whenever I've had any dealing with him, AND I'm kept informed as to the status of my order. Hopefully you can sort things out soon.

If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.

That's the thing. I've sent several emails and left a voice message. I've had no response.

I placed an order with them a couple of weeks ago too and being Christmas I don't expect to see it till next year anyway. Don't panic it's just the silly season.

I heard back from Brent today. I'm more than a little ticked, but we'll see what he says.

I originally ordered a match set of items. One I was told wouldn't be ready for 3-4 weeks. That wasn't a huge deal, so they shipped one item, and the other should have been here last week. Today he said it likely won't be here for another 2 months or longer.

That ticked me off a little. If they'd been even remotely accurate with the delivery time 5 weeks ago, I would have ordered a similar set from another vendor.

Now I have one item installed, and will still be waiting months for the other. I could have had the whole set a month ago from someone else.

All depends on what he has in stock. That's where Eddy is a lot more business savvy. He doesn't deal in custom items at all. He's never stuck waiting for some fabricator to come up with a batch of parts. Makes me wonder about British-Customs. They have a lot of custom stuff but I never hear them having any supply problems.

I've never had any order or communication problems with Brent and those guys at Newbonneville. If a part may take longer than usual they usually state it on the web site. My next order will be with them first if they have it or can get it.

I'll take it one step further and this goes back several years now. I originally started ordering from newbonnyville cos they had some great stuff. My problem living in Aus was the cost of shipping.

I just knew I was getting ripped and even questionning them twice on the issue they guaranteed it wasn't the case. I decided to give Eddy a go and guess what, his shipping was half as much.

Same experience. Fasteddy is the best if you are in Australia.

I have had nothing but good experiences with both Newbonneville and Fasteddy and would use either one of them again.
A little extra cost or waiting time is worth it to get the things they offer. Its not their fault I live on the other side of the world.
Any issues that I have had they both have been very quick to sort out.
The local people I deal with around here could learn alot from these guys.

Eddy was great to deal with, Brent never made it right with me and never even offered to. A short wait would have been OK, even a few months maybe but....

Waiting months is unacceptable, and more so when its not noted as such when you order. Poor communication is like rubbing salt in the wound. There can be a number of reasons for extended lead times, and its not all on the manufacturers.

For my money, Eddy is easily the top vendor that I have dealt with in regards to vendors on this site, and actually ranks as tops against most others, his communication/service is extraordinary, and the transaction is always pleasant.

just to be clear with my earlier statement, I never had a problem with Brent or newspeedmaster.com, in fact, he was the one that told me about this forum

Just ordedred two items from British Customs. Only because Eddy doesnt carry them and what I read here about the problems with New Bonnieville latly. (I should add that Ive used New bonn. in the past and not had any problems.) Anyway, British Customs backordered both items, I hate that crap.

I usually order from fasteddy, if he hasn't got it in stock he usually tells you.

There again, I have got into the habit of asking if they have it before I order.

It happens with regularity then this apologist thread starts to grow to mask the idea that this type of service is very simply reprehensible.
