My plan... (of course I am planning for 16/17 total days... Two work weeks and the surrounding 3 weekends). Tybee island lighthouse in Savannah, Ga to Fisherman's Wharf and back... Stopping in Prescott.

This past September I knocked on this door being only 704 miles away. Might be time to open it this June.

Just thinking out loud
You dont want to blast up 199 or I5...BORING. Get up to Ventura and take the coast up.
I'd love to, but its a matter of having enough time. I'm already stretching it by going through Salt Lake, I was thinking of spending a day there to visit my parents.

Paul! I'm meeting up with Chy in Dahlonega. We are taking the long way to Prescott. What did I call my ride to the Nor'East Rally last year, the Utah Swing? Well I guess this one is called the California swing (via Southern Utah)! Ride West March 7th revision. No camping this trip. Hotels and Motels. Map subject to revisions. Riders looking to meet up along the route are welcome. 500+ mile days is the idea.

Hey Jim,
I see where you & Chy and Paul are going through Bluff, UT. Now I felt happily obliged to dine on the good cooking in Georgia. A second helping of pulled pork please. So as a forwarning, stop by the Twin Rocks Cafe and try the Navajo Frybread. I don't believe Navajo frybread is a common menu item in Georgia, or Florida (or Montana).
.......and fuel up before you leave any of those red rock desert burgs

Bob, check out the SWTF from the NW thread, page 3 or 4 is a map of the plan that Brent and I are going to take to get to Prescott. The longest day is to get to Boise otherwise we are under 500 miles each day. Heres a link to the actual map with daily mileage breakdowns: map By that plan we should be in Boise on the eve of the 31st, heading out to Kanab Ut on the 1st.

Thanks for the headsup on planning "Z".I am still in the planning stages..nothing locked in stone...but thinking I would rather leave Boise and travel to Salt lake City(338 miles),then onto Hurricane,utah(301 miles),ride thru Zion to Prescott(358 miles).Super 8's are available and reasonable..Will camp out in Waitsburg(27-28-29of May),will stay with Bill in Boise(30-31of may) and will be able to join up with "Z" and Brent on the June1st when leaving Boise. Not sure on return Yet!!

Say Dwight, just a thought at this time, with all the interest in this years SWTF, how about a souvenir lapel pin made up to look like the SWTF shirt design. AmyLee and I could do the leg work, if you think there is enough interest. Bob

That sounds like a great idea, Bob! I'll bet the majority of attendees would be interested in purchasing one o' those.
