How much cooler the commute has become? +/- 19 degrees this morning. Not so bad after wiping the ice off the seat so i don't slide off...or get stuck.

I said "uncle" here in Maryland. I topped off with some high-test and put in the Stabil. I'll get a few miles over the winter, but sparyingly.

I have to admit, i was thoroughly amazed when i passed a guy on a Harley who i presume was headed to work as well. It was clear that he was suffering worse than i was. He was wearing an open face helmet and had nothing covering his face. Some would say "there's a man who loves to ride". I know better... i say "there's a Harley rider without a car!"

Its 26 degrees celsius here at the moment and climbing. It is really humid too. I better go for a ride before the storms come. My tyres will be feelin nice and sticky on that hot tar road.

High was 19. Fog almost all day with a bit of sun around lunch. Still plenty of snow on the ground. I haven't ridden my bike since November 9th.

That was the 24 mile ride home after working nights. Some times I wished I'd not sold my car over here.

I'm a patient man Greg... Frank will get his when it's time. You see, come 2012 all these new agers (and ya know they're always right) are saying the earth will go through an axis shift of some significance where the intertropical zones will trade places with the temperate zones. So, in just a couple o' years Frank and others will be able to make their own snowballs while we ride around making fun of them!

Every year these threads come out of the "snow drifts" and I always think to myself how good I've got it. At least the winters give people plenty of time to work on their bikes Btw, I do really empathise with those of you have hibernated your bikes. On the other hand when I see vision of beautiful countrysides in the U.S. And Europe, I realise how lucky you guys are. It's all relative fellahs. Chin up and before you know it, you'll be back on and making up for lost time. How anyone rides in those minus temps I've got no idea. Btw Frank and my other Aussie mates up there near Brisbane, I'm riding up again in the second half of January. My only concerns is wet weather, considering what we've had so far. It won't stop me though. Anyway, I wouldn't mind us having a beer at the Bribie pub like we did a couple of years back. It's really great to see other bikes like mine. :

Hey Staffo, Jo and I are riding up to visit friends in the Whitsundays in January, but should be back by the 24th. If you are on Bribie in the last week of Jan. we will try and get down.

Riding in to work today, (what's new). Right now the temperature is 29.4 degrees F. This ties the temps I rode in while in Nebraska this past September.
