I checked the upper brake reservoir level the other night and seemed a little low, so I added some fluid. Now I seem to have a "weeping" in between the cover and the base. There is a plastic piece under the cover and above the vacuum rubber piece. Should the embossed part be down or up? It's driving me crazy because I've checked it three nights in a row, removing the cover, checking the fluid level, re-tightening the cover and each morning a have a little weep of fluid on the outside. I filled it to the line on the inside of the reservoir with the front wheel turned all the way to the right so it would be level. Help!

I just looked at mine.It doesnt look like it could go on any way other then the way intended due to the way its machined. From the pics in my haynes manual it appears to be embossing up.That membrane is super thin and flimsy and could be damaged very easily.I would order one pronto.

I think I'd remove some fluid. I like to have a little air bubble showing in the glass on the resevoir when it's capped. If it's too high, the fluid just gets sucked up and weeps out under the cap.

That was my experience. Pop the cap and use a towel to suck a little out. Don't get any on the tank paint!!! That reservoir is real easy to overfill.

Thanks Guys, I considered the over-filling last night and took out
2 teaspoons of fluid. Now I'll just wait & see...Again
Thanks!
