I've cut th triumph switches off my hand controls and have some HD switch housings with chrome switches. I need a few pointers on how to wire the turn signals to the triumph loom. Hopefully you can save me a bit of head scratchin

Here is the Auxillary circuit diagram. Should help you a bit, I can e-mail to you if you want.
TBA, Stainless extractors / drag pipes, 65mm over forward controls, Thruxton needles, 904cc, head ported, lowered 1-inch, Console removed, relocated battery box, Australia.

Thanks, I have the diagram. I was just hoping someone would be able to tell me how the 2 seperate switches for left and right are connected where th old triuph one was. The HD switches seem to be a simple 'ON when held in. The Trump on has cancellation via the centre switch connection to the relay. I'm confused. I saw a photo of someones bike last year on here which had HD controls and switches and wondered if anyone who's done it could let me know how

Other than the chrome I personally do not see whey anybody would want two seperate turn signal switches. Then again if that is what you are use to I could see it. Never had a bike that way.Sounds like you are going to get very use to your ohm meter.Good luck and really try to be patient,it can really screw with your head when switching from one make to another.

I bet they don't come in chrome. (I think the reason for the upgrade?) HD signals are odd, I think they just changed to the more universal both on on side in this model year. I'm curious as to how they will look, betting good. Our stock controls are nothing to write home about.

are you sure this can work? I would have said that the america's switch was a mechanical latch so when you push it left the left contact stays closed til you cancel it by pushing that middle button. With two separate switches the HD must have an electronic latch.
To make this work I think you might have to get something like the kisan signal minder which incorporates the electronic latch.

I have the Harley hand controls on my chopper, Yes they can be wired to a Triumph, (but a lot of stuffing around) You'll also need to buy a self cancellor for the new system also, which will need to be wired in (more headaches)as the Harleys don't self cancel without there own prewired cancellor. You'll need to run a lot of new wires also, so unless your good at wiring, or have a mate that is, I wouldn't suggest it, unless your going to get a full custom wiring harness.

Considering he has already cut them off, lets hope he is pretty good at it.

Really, its not as hard as some say it is. The only thing on my bike that's Triumph is the engine. every thig else is aftermarket(Performance Machine, Joker Machine, and Arlen Ness etc..) HD parts. For my light wiring I used a small, chopper wiring fuse and relay panel(HD aftermarket) which includes turn signal and brake relays.....Angelis
