Also on the 21 the Legionaires will be hosting a charity ride outta JJ's bar just out side of Livingston Texas. To provide some Thanks giving diners for some unfortunate families.

Brother, I enjoy riding, and do it as often as I can, but I honestly hate big rallies or gatherings. A small group of riders sharing some twisties, and then sitting down together to share a bite and tell lies is more my style. It just seems that whenever you get a bunch of "bikers" together, even if its a charity ride, they act like a bunch of idiots. Maybe I've just had some bad experiences though...

Where abouts are you exactly? We need to plan a day ride for the Texas folks, I know there are several guys in the Houston area and few here in DFW that we might be able to pressure into joining us. We can just pick a restaurant somewhere, and have everyone meet up for lunch or something. I can think of plenty of destinations throughout East Texas that would be perfect for a meet and greet.

Sorry to hear you have had such bad experiences. This is an American legion event. They tend to have pretty good controll of events however. No pressure from me live and ride free.
That would be cool to get together over some lunch or what have you. Weekends are better for me because I work a day job during the week. A weekend respit from the Holidays may be inorder.

I'm not a fan of big rallies, either. The last one I went to was the last one I plan on going to. Smaller rallies are more my speed. Hey Loco, want some company for the 21st? I know where Livingston is.

What sort of music do you play?

Alright guys Sunday the 21st we are going to ride out from JJ's bar "where the good times roll" on a charity run. We are trying to raise enough money to give a Thanksgiving meal to some poor families because some ill fate has befallen them, and have found themselves in need. Just 20 bones per bike. The ride will be escorted, and you will have the privelage to ride with the Legionaires, the Patriot gaurd, BACA, along with many other noble riders who gather for the good of others.

San Antoinio area here (30 miles east actually). Love to ride the Texas Hill Country. Avoid the large rallies, to expensive, commercialized, and crowded. Did ride in the Texas Honor Ride on the 13th Nov. About 600 riders I estimated (not sure though). Usually just doing the lone rider thing up into the hill country around Wimberly and out to Leakey. I do belong to the New Braunfels VFW Motorcycle Group.

I am actually working on joining the american legion here. I just got home from riding with some legionaires, some patriot gaurd, BACA riders, and the Outcasts on a charity ride to fee some families Thanksgiving diner. there was about 40 of us. I was a road gaurd for the first time.
