Seems as though my cam cover is seeping oil from around the seal when running (both sides). Not a ton of oil, just a noticable leak as the oil is forced out as if the cam cover is not tight or the gasket is worn...which on a 2010 should not be the case. Anyone have this happen? Better yet, anyone have a solution? I hate having to carry a rag for oil leaks like Hardley guy...it's just embarrassing. Any help always appreciated.

Mine did that as well after some time , I think lots more do it than we want to admit. Sounds like it's time for a new gasket , if it's still under warranty , let the dealer fix it . Hmmmm , now I though only Harleys leaked oil.

My '03 doesn't seep any oil whatsoever and I'm thinking it's not so common. Yup, just take 'er in under warranty for a fix and save your rags for your Harley friends.

I carry a Harley t-shirt to wipe any possible oil drips or anything else that might need to be wiped.

my cam cover never leaked a drop and reused the gasket after valve adjustments. The seal behind my front sprocket is leaking some I think though.

My o6 does that when it cold out. It just started again for the winter. It didn't do it at all during the warm months.

Yup , the Allen screws tend to bottom out before the gasket is fully "squeezed", so a little RTV in the grove on the cover will fix it usually. Little oil leaks add character-I like to think of it as SWEAT oozin' out from all that pent-up HOSSPOWER.

Yup, you're in good company. My 2010 is starting to get pretty bad. I'll have to get that dealt with when I take it out of storage in March. Started leaking at 5600 km and now at 9200 km its getting much worse leaking in various places.
More than likely the rubber crush washers under the cam cover bolts are compressed and/or broken, and are unable to put enough pressure on the gasket to seal properly. Triumph now has a revised part number T1260337 This part supercedes T1260309 for the sealing washer.
More than likely the gasket is OK. However, your bike is on warranty, like mine, so the fix will be up to your dealer. I'd see if you can get the revised sealing washers.

Check the four cam cover bolts for the proper torque. If they're properly torqued, than its probably the sealing washers under the cam cover bolts. If its under warranty let the dealer figure it out. Good luck.
