This is a post which I read on a new site for Ontario Triumph riders about their RAT rally. This is their second year doing it I believe and they had a great turn out last year. Quite a few riders came up from Michigan and I think this is the one that Stewart (roundy77) accidentally showed up for. I'm not sure yet if I'll be going to it but I'd like to, the Niagara area is gorgeous and has some great roads. But anyways, here's the post;

Well, here we go again!

We wanted to put the details out for our next NiagaRAT rally in June 06'. For those who attended last year, thanks for coming and we hope you make it again this year! For those who didn't make it last year, plan right now to come!

We will be staying at the same motel and she has given us the same $49.00 per night rate, which is really cheap for this area! For reservations, please contact The Knights Inn at 1-866-870-777 or e-mail them at reservation@knightsinn.net. Please make sure to mention you are part of the Triumph motorcycles rally in order to be guaranteed the proper rate. We filled up our 20 room booking last year pretty quickly so we increased the booking to 40 rooms this year! Don't forget your swimming trunks because they've got a great outside pool! By the sounds of conversations with those interested, I think we will be filling up pretty quickly, so we would ask you to make your reservations quickly and not miss out! We'd also ask you to send us an e-mail at sales@thecarlot2000.com so we can track exactly how many have booked rooms and are attending for sure! We need to know well in advance this year because we are ordering T-shirts, as well as food and beer!

Our plan this year is to charge $30.00 in Canadian funds per person to cover the cost of T-shirts, lunch for the Saturday ride, a barbeque pig with all the trimings for Saturday night as well as some kegs of beer! If there is anything left over, we will buy some giveaways for everybody!

Activities will include rides on beautiful local roads, with different routes and lengths laid out for your choice. Shane has volunteered(we love volunteers!) to do the route layouts, so you'll be guaranteed some great places to explore. We'd also like to do the Jet Boats on the Niagara River again and will have reservations for that based on demand! We had a picture of that in a recent Torque magazine so the faint of heart can check it out first. We may even be able to visit the Motorcycle museum in town, at a reduced rate, of course!!

Again, for those who weren't here last year, we have bars, restaurants and coffee shops, all within a short walk of the motel so don't worry about food for the weekend.

So go ahead, make your reservations and e-mail me saying you did. Also, let me know your T-shirt sizes and feel free to let us know if there is anything else you want included in your weekend.

This is going to be a ton of fun!

The event I showed up at last June was not a 'sanctioned' Rat event(maybe thats changed for this year), but there were Triumph riders stretching from Michigan and Wisconsin to Niagara and NY that showed up. It was a joint effort between the Detroit and Niagara packs. It was a great time. A few locals took us on a great tour, kept the pace reasonable. All kinds of bikes - A couple of Aprillias, Tiger, trophy, Classics, 2 Speedmasters, and a handful of sport bikes.

I can't make it this year- #2 is due in June.

Stewart ....... "It's outside your field of expertise." "Poppycock normally is."

I noticed that the post doesn't have the dates. They are June 9-11.

Stewart is right, it's not a RAT event, just some packs getting together.

Ray, that would have been cool if they had done it then and we could have gotten you a bike.

Bill, here's the site.

Hi John

Don't think I will be heading your way ever again, but the thought was nice.
