Now i know most of you N Americans probably havent a clue about this show, but it was, believe it or not , much more popular than the pythons and much funnier( no really it is /was). it was a trailblazing UK daft comedy, string of chart hits and a confirmed kill .40 years can you believe it . Ecky Thump, giant Dougals and the trandum classic stuff.

I used to talk about them at school, and all I got was "I'm not allowed to watch that"

I mean, whats wrong with letting kids watch this

Never did me any harm

Ecky Thump!!!! I saw it on PBS back in the late 70's. My brother and I would take a stuffed black sock and hit each other over the head yelling Ecky Thump! Recently saw that episode on You Tube. So cornball.

Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Didn't think they would show the Goodies in the US but there you go . I hear that Spielberg is a huge fan and has bought some sort of rights to them. Think I'll be spending this weekend watching the dodgy copies I have of them Goody goody yumyum
