I would be down for some polished stainless etched like that for sure.

Cool Joe ! These brass covers certainly add a little flair that's not all chrome and stuff.

Okay, just to round up the information without having to wade through the evolution of this product, above, I a few questions.

Is the price currently $75? Is shipping included?
What is the max dimensions of the image (I don't currently have a cover on hand to measure)?
What format of file can I send it as, PDF, EPS, etc.?
Are the holes necessary? What purpose do they serve?
Did you ever come up with a stainless steel option? If so, how much?

Thanks!

I'll let Bob answer the more specific questions, but let me chime in. It's a 2 piece arrangement. Those holes you see are for the rivets that hold the cover plate (the one with the etching) and the backing plate with the bracket.

I'm sure Bob can work with any graphic image. I just sent him some ideas and he played around with it until it was what I wanted. I think if it gets too detailed, it becomes a problem. But Bob would know that better than I.

If you really want, I can go down and measure the etched plate.

Hi John,

To answer your questions, the $75 does include shipping. The back plate demensions are 15cm X 10cm. There's really no reason I can't go that big wit the artwork. I have been using a 5.5" X 3.25" template up to this point because I like the look of the rivited on plate. The holes are the rivits. I don't have to use a rivited plate, it's just what I prefer. Also I'm not too savy with different formats. I can save a screenshot, so as long as I have the program to open it I can use it.

I hope that helps sir!

Oh yeah, no-go on the stainless. It makes some nasty poison.

Bob,

Are you still doing the brass battery covers. If so I have a design that I would like to know if you can etch. I will send you a pm with the image if you like.

thanks,

Frank

Wonder what it would cost to get one of those chromed, The brass is way cool but it really wouldn't work on my bike. Chrome with the 1907 Triumph logo, I'm thinkin that'd be pretty cool.

I'm pretty well spent out preparing for my road trip this summer, maybe when I get back and get a few bucks saved up.

If you want one, contact the seller (PM works fine). He's a pretty easy going and talented bloke. I'm really enjoying the look of mine on my bike.

Now that I have a brokenfixed battery bracket, I'll get it installed and see if I think you can see enough of a battery to make the brass cover worth it. I think it will be but I'd like to check.

Hey all, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to anyone for battery covers. This is my busy season as a tattoo artist and my machine shop time is mostly non existent. Things seem to be slowing down a bit, so I'll be back out there soon. I promise to get back to everyone as soon as I have the time to get to workin'.

Thanks so much for all your interest. It's very much appreciated.

Honest Bob

Do you have time yet?

I found my design. Not my bulldog, but this:

If we can somehow keep the number of rivets down to just the four corners that would be excellent.

If you need it as an EPS file or something I can probably handle that after SWTF. If possibly I would like to have this in time for the Kootenay RAID in mid-July.
